    7th Annual Sweet Corn Festival 5K – August 14, 2010

    On the 7th year anniversary of the Sweet Corn Festival 5K, it’s clear this has become one of Central Iowa’s premier 5K road races. The 5K run will start at 8AM and precede the Sweet Corn Festival’s Parade and Festival.

    Last year, the combined event drew more than 10,000 people! The Sweet Corn Festival 5K is open to all runners and walkers.

    The race starts at 8AM at the Adel-Desoto-Minburn High School, winds through the streets and city park of Adel, and hits the bike trail before finishing at the Adel Middle School.

    For those looking to run a fast time, the course is flat to rolling and with the crowd awaiting you at the finish, it is a perfect setting for a personal record.

    The Adel Sweet Corn 5K was established in 2004 in the memory of Danielle J. Hutzell, and to help celebrate the Adel Sweet Corn Festival. Make sure you bring the whole family to enjoy the Sweet Corn Parade and Festival after the Race. It makes for a great day.

    There is plenty of parking for participants at the race start, and there will be dedicated shuttle service to take you back to the parking lot after the finish.


    Fees:

    • $20 before July 29, 2010
    • $25 after July 29, 2010. No Refunds
    • $30 for day-of-event entry on August 14th.

    Registrations received by July 29 are guaranteed T-shirts at packet pickup. Please do not mail after July 29th.
