Iowa Book Festival
4th Annual Iowa Book Festival
– June 19th, from 11 AM – 4 PM.
The Fourth Annual Iowa Book Festival will be held in Adel, Iowa, on Saturday, June 19, from 11 AM to 4 PM. The festival will be held in the Adel Public Library, the adjacent City Hall and surrounding outdoor grounds.
This year’s festival will feature the following Iowa authors:
- Chuck Larson (Des Moines) – Book – Heroes Among Us: Firsthand Accounts of Combat from America’s Most Decorated Warriors in Iraq and Afghanistan
- Carson & Connie Ode (Des Moines) – Book – Iowa Spaces, Places, Faces-an entertaining ride through all 99 counties
- Carol Bodensteiner (Des Moines) – Book – Growing up Country: memories of an Iowa farm girl
- John Bruner (Fort Dodge) – Book – Me & Snap
- Shirley Damsgaard (Stuart) – Books – Ophelia and Abby series
- Lisa Broadie Cook (Boone) – Book – Martin MacGregor’s Snowman
Our festival also features Mary Swander, Iowa’s Poet Laureate and Dan Wardell, host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse, Kids Build-a-book Workshop and an IPTV Resources for Parents Workshop (Raising Readers).

Vendor Space at the Festival
One of the features of the Iowa Book Festival is an opportunity for any Iowa author who wishes to promote their own books to have vendor space at the event free of charge.
